How to use

Tips
Repeat it to protect a photo
A small mark in a corner is easy to crop away. “Repeat across the photo” with a low opacity is much harder to remove.
Visible, but not in the way
An opacity of 30–60% keeps the photo pleasant while the mark stays readable. Keep the outline on, so the text shows on light and dark parts.
Use a PNG logo
A logo with a transparent background (PNG) blends in best. A JPEG logo always brings its rectangle with it.
Same look for a series
The text, the logo and the settings stay when you drop the next photo. The size follows each photo's shorter side, so the mark looks the same on every photo.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No. The watermark is added in your browser, on your own device, and neither the photo nor the logo is sent anywhere.
Can the watermark be removed later?
The watermark becomes part of the pixels of the new file, so this tool cannot take it off again. Keep your original if you need a version without it.
Does a watermark lower the quality?
The photo keeps its size in pixels. JPEG and WebP are saved at quality 90, PNG without any loss.
Which fonts can I use?
Sans serif, serif and monospace from your device. Nothing is downloaded. The letters can look a little different on another device, but the preview shows exactly what your file gets.
Is there a size limit?
Files can be up to 50 MB. Images up to 100 megapixels work on a computer, and up to 16.7 on phones and tablets, because mobile browsers have less memory for images.
Can I add a watermark to many photos at once?
Here one photo at a time, with the settings kept for the next one. “Batch processing” can add a text watermark to many photos at once, and you get all results in one ZIP file.
